Vito Bratta- Lead Guitarist, Chief Songwriter
Vito Bratta (born July 1, 1961) was the lead guitarist and chief songwriter for White Lion from 1983 to 1992. Vito's original style, consisting of fluid lead lines, unorthodox rhythm playing, and complex melodic solos gained him a worldwide legion of dedicated fans, as well as numerous awards, including Guitar World magazine's "Best New Guitarist" in 1988. After White Lion Vito produced an album for the band CPR on Atlantic records. Despite his cult status and large guitar-based following, Vito has not been involved in the music industry in any capacity since 1994. According to a small piece in Guitar World magazine, Vito is said to now be "working with computers". Sources today report Vito's current interest is the real estate industry.
In 2003, Mike Tramp (former White Lion vocalist) attempted to reunite with Vito, but was unsuccessful. Tramp organized a group of unknown musicians and named the act "Tramp's White Lion", touring and releasing a live album Tramp's White Lion: Rockin' In The USA in 2005. Mike Tramp once stated that due to Vito's unwillingness to participate, "there will never be another White Lion reunion".
James Lomenzo, former bass player for White Lion, left the band with drummer Greg D'Angelo in 1992 due to "musical differences" and went on to play with Zakk Wylde in Pride and Glory and BLS. Currently James is the bass player for Megadeth.
